NEW AGENT SETUP

Your request for new agent setup will be processed within 3 business days of receipt. Once the setup process is complete, a Michigan Basic representative will contact you with your agent ID, enabling you to sign in to begin using the Agency Web Service Center (AWSC).

FORMS TO COMPLETE:

• New Agent Setup Form

• Authorization for Automatic Deposit

• Request for Taxpayer ID Number and Certification (W-9)

• Please submit a copy of your Agent Insurance Service License with the State of Michigan.

Please note the following:

• Failure to submit a properly completed Authorization for Automatic Deposit Form will delay your commission payment.

• Complete the forms listed above.

• Sign and date all forms and FAX to 313-877-8347.

AGENT WEB SERVICE CENTER (AWSC)

Once you have been assigned your unique agent ID number and have registered on the AWSC, Michigan Basic Property Insurance Association will provide you with one source to locate reference material and complete online applications from the AWSC web site and provide the following benefits:

• Inquiry on the policy and payment status of your entire book of business, including information pertaining to payment due dates, mortgagee, deductible, coverage amount, and more

• Locate Claim information on your policyholders

• Avoid calls to Customer Service during peak hours.

• Respond to your client's inquiry at your convenience: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Better utilization of your agency phone and staff costs.
